Klaudia Piotrowski

Klaudia Piotrowski was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is the first generation in her family to be born in the United States of America, as her parents were both born in Poland. Klaudia holds a strong value for her Polish roots and culture, she grew up speaking Polish in her household and continues to visit her family in Poland every summer. She has attended Polska Szkoła Dokształcająca im. Henryka Sienkiewicza for 10 years where she learned how to speak, read, and write in Polish fluently. Klaudia graduated from Saint Edmund Preparatory High School in Brooklyn where she was a member of the track and cross country team. She currently attends Long Island University in Brooklyn for the five year Occupational Therapy Program in order to receive her Bachelor's degree in Science and Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She is currently a member of the American National Honor Society due to her being in the top 35% of her graduate class. As she continues her journey through graduate school, she also completes her internships and leads physical activity groups at a senior center. Klaudia has completed several internships in pediatric, geriatric, physical disability, and mental health facilities. She has volunteer experience at a hospital and elementary school. Klaudia has worked at a Polish owned physical therapy office for a few years before she was accepted into the occupational therapy program. When working at this facility, she spoke in Polish to many of the patients. Klaudia enjoys traveling with her family and friends, she has gone on ski trips with a group of Polish friends every year since the age of 4.
