Youth Ball 2026, organized by the Polish Youth Association in collaboration with the Warsaw Tourism Organization and under the honorary patronage of Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw, has already gone down in history as the largest, most prestigious, and most anticipated Polish-American youth event in the United States - and undoubtedly one of the most significant worldwide.

This year’s edition brought together a record-breaking number of over 700 participants from across the United States. Tickets sold out at lightning speed, confirming both the immense interest in and the stature of an event long recognized as the largest youth ball for the Polish diaspora worldwide. Today, the Youth Ball is not just a tradition - it is a symbol of strength, ambition, and unity among Polish-American youth.

The theme of this year’s edition, “Night in Warsaw,” lent the event a remarkable and symbolic character. The evening’s concept evoked Warsaw as a modern European metropolis, simultaneously serving as a guardian of history, culture, and national identity. The meticulously designed visual setting, elegant spatial arrangements, and carefully curated artistic program created an atmosphere conducive both to celebration and reflection on the role of the young generation in shaping the future of the Polish-American community.
Youth Ball 2026 was an event where culture met ambition, and tradition intersected with a modern worldview. The evening provided a space for building relationships, exchanging experiences, and strengthening bonds among young Poles and members of the Polonia, regardless of their place of residence or educational and professional paths.

A key element of the artistic program was the performance by the renowned Galopka Song and Dance Ensemble, which presented traditional Polish folk dances in a highly polished and dynamic stage format. This performance expressed respect for Poland’s cultural heritage and served as a reminder that culture remains one of the most important pillars of identity for young members of Polonia. The fusion of folkloric elements with a modern artistic presentation was met with enthusiastic acclaim and highlighted the universal appeal of Polish tradition.
The Ball was also groundbreaking due to the presence of representatives from leading Polish universities. For the first time, the Youth Ball was not only a cultural and social gathering but also a genuine platform for educational and academic dialogue. Participants had the opportunity to learn firsthand about study programs in Poland, international initiatives, research opportunities, and avenues for professional and academic development.

The event clearly emphasized Warsaw’s role as a dynamic center for education, innovation, and international collaboration, encouraging young Poles to view the capital not only as a symbol of heritage but also as a space of real global opportunities for growth.
The event brought together a distinguished group of guests, including Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw; Mateusz Sakowicz, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York; Przemysław Postolski, Consul of the Republic of Poland in New York; Wiktor Cichecki, Vice Consul of the Republic of Poland in New York; Alojzy Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw; Robert Grey, Chancellor of the University of Warsaw; Mariusz Malinowski, Vice-Rector for Science at the Warsaw University of Technology; Robert Zalewski, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at the Warsaw University of Technology; Grzegorz Robak, Director of the Center for International Cooperation at the Warsaw University of Technology; Michał Grąt, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Promotion, and Development at the Medical University of Warsaw; Jacek Sienko, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs at the Medical University of Warsaw; Michał Bernardelli, Dean of the Master’s Program at the Warsaw School of Economics; Mateusz Czewiński, President of the Warsaw Tourism Organization; Filip Płodzień, Director of Marketing, Leisure & MICE at the Warsaw Tourism Organization; Karolina Medyk, Director for International Cooperation for the Capital City of Warsaw; Stefan Kabat, Head of Event Coordination in the Office of the Mayor of Warsaw; Łukasz Pawłowski, Deputy Director of the Office of the Mayor of Warsaw; Bogna Sakowicz, wife of the Consul General of Poland in New York; Daniel Kurzyna, Chief of Staff to New York City Council Member Phil Wong; Eryk Bagiński, Grand Marshal of the 2025 Pulaski Parade; and Renata Jujka, Vice President of the Central Office of Polish Supplementary Schools in America and member of the Pulaski Parade Organizing Committee.

A particularly notable moment of the official program was the honoring of Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski with the medal for “Merits to the Youth”, recognizing his consistent efforts to support the younger generation, promote international cooperation, and build lasting ties between Poland and the diaspora.
Every participant of Youth Ball 2026 received commemorative gifts from the Capital City of Warsaw, including elegant souvenirs bearing the official city logo and stylish lapel pins featuring Warsaw’s symbol. This gesture carried symbolic weight, emphasizing the bond of young Polish-Americans with Warsaw and its role as a city open to international dialogue and collaboration with the next generation.
Youth Ball 2026 was an event of international scope, prestige, and significance, bringing together culture, education, networking, and community in a single space. It demonstrated that young Polish-Americans possess enormous organizational, intellectual, and social potential, as well as the ability to initiate projects with a tangible international impact.

This year’s edition unequivocally confirmed that Youth Ball remains the largest, most prestigious, and truly unique event for the global Polish-American youth. Youth Ball 2026 was not only an event but also an expression of a shared vision for the future - a future grounded in intergenerational dialogue and openness to the world. This exceptional evening demonstrated that young Polish-Americans are strong, united, and ready to co-create a global community rooted in values, culture, and responsible leadership. The Youth Ball continues to symbolize what is most valuable: the strength of a young generation that, while respecting tradition, boldly looks toward the future.
