Between July 17 and 20, 2025, Warsaw hosted the largest gathering of young members of the Polish diaspora in history – Polonia Camp 2025. The event brought together over 1,000 participants from 46 countries, aiming not only to foster integration but also to actively involve young Polish community leaders in shaping the modern image of Poland in the world. The initiative was launched by the Senate of the Republic of Poland and co-organized by the “Wspólnota Polska” Association, the “Pomoc Polakom na Wschodzie” Foundation, and the Institute of Public Affairs.

Among the guests were representatives of the highest state authorities, as well as prominent figures from the worlds of academia, culture, and sports. Notable attendees included the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski; linguist Professor Jerzy Bralczyk; journalist Agata Passent; President of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation, Jurek Owsiak; Olympic champion Otylia Jędrzejczak; international football referee Szymon Marciniak; and journalist Wojciech Jagielski.
In his address during the event, Minister Sikorski emphasized:
Senate Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska announced the establishment of a Task Force on Return Policy, aimed at facilitating the return process for members of the Polish diaspora. At the same time, the creation of the Youth Polonia Council was announced, an initiative designed to ensure the lasting and systemic inclusion of the young generation of the diaspora in dialogue with state institutions in Poland.
Youth organizations played a significant role during the event, in particular the Polish Youth Association (Polskie Stowarzyszenie Młodzieży, PSM), which served as one of the official co-organizers of Polonia Camp 2025. The Association was actively involved in both the organizational preparations and the program structure of the event. It was represented by:
• Jakub Staniewski – President of the Polish Youth Association
• Jan Filip Jagielski – Chief Marketing Officer
• Gabriela Pydzińska Azevedo – Director General
• Natalie Mazgaj – Marketing Manager
• Isabelle Mazgaj – Chief Operations Officer
• Madeline Mazgaj – Programs Director
• Julia Skrodzka – Partnership Manager
During the panel sessions, PSM’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jan Filip Jagielski, addressed questions to Marshal Kidawa-Błońska and Radosław Sikorski regarding, among others: the feasibility and support for the return of young diaspora members to Poland, the continuity of government backing for diaspora initiatives, and strategic investments in Poland’s international promotion.
Speaking on behalf of the youth, PSM President Jakub Staniewski affirmed the association’s readiness to cooperate with the Senate of the Republic of Poland:
“We are ready to work alongside the Senate to ensure that the Polish diaspora becomes a true partner in building Poland’s position on the international stage.”
The event’s program encompassed a wide range of workshops, panel discussions, and educational sessions. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Poland, its educational and economic systems, and to develop skills relevant to social and international engagement.
According to the organizers, the event concluded with great success, and its continuation in future years has already been announced. As summarized by Mikołaj Falkowski, President of the “Aid to Poles in the East” Foundation:
“It was a unique time full of inspiration, collaboration, and new connections.”
Polonia Camp 2025 not only strengthened ties among young Poles across continents but also laid the groundwork for long-term mechanisms of cooperation with public institutions in Poland. The role of PSM as a co-organizer and an active representative of the young diaspora generation was clearly affirmed, both on the programmatic and institutional level.
